Born in 1972 in Tripoli, Lebanon, and residing in Brussels, Barrack Rima studied comics and illustration at the Beaux Arts Royal Academy in Brussels as well as the cinema-radio-tv at the Institute Broadcasting Arts of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).
Comic book author and filmmaker, Rima also works for music, theater, circus and dance performances. Member of the editorial board of the Lebanese magazine Samandal, since 1996, he collaborates with the international press.
Among his comics: Beirut (2013), The Storyteller of Cairo (La Cafetière), Beirut bye bye (2015).
Among his films: “Souvenir of Beirut” (1999), “La terre de 48” (2003), “The study of the itinerant researcher” (2009).
